-
the history of Manchester Cathedral can be traced back to medieval times and an arranged private tour led by a knowledgeable Cathedral Guide is well worthy of the 1 hour invested! The excavated fifteenth century Hanging Bridge is a scheduled ancient monument located in the basement of the Manchester Cathedral Visitor Centre and is a rare survival of a medieval structure in the city centre

No visit to Manchester is complete without a nod to the city’s footballing heritage. Football stadium tours can be arranged for clients at any North-West Premier League Football Club – Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have proved the most popular. A typical stadium tour would last little more than an hour but itineraries can be arranged to suit individual requirements. More bespoke stadium visits might take 3 hours or more and include, for example, a Tour of Old Trafford led by a ‘legend’ ex-player with a 3-course buffet lunch, Q&A session, goody-bag, photo, autographs, etc. Please click here on Contact Us to provide details of specific tour requirements
-
Take a trip down the ‘cobbles’ with an organised visit to ‘Coronation Street’ and go behind the scenes and on to the working set of the UK’s most famous and longest-running television series. (Tour visits last approximately 90mins and should be booked well in advance)

Lake District……

-
A short 1 ½ hour drive from Manchester the Lake District National Park is easily accessible for visitors to Manchester. The itinerary for what would be a full-day tour could typically include visits to Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick, and Buttermere with a stop perhaps at Ashness Bridge (the most photographed bridge in the Lake District) from where ‘Surprise View’ can be accessed via a short ‘hike’ for those unforgettable photographs of the view over Derwentwater and beyond to Bassenthwaite Lake. Tours can be tailored to allow additional time for museum visits and other activities eg The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction where magical stories of ‘Peter Rabbit’ and his friends are brought to life in 3D…or a visit to the home of Wordsworth ‘Dove Cottage’ in Grasmere…or a short cruise on Lake Windermere…or ‘lunch with a view’!
